Our mission is beautification of the downtown Onalaska area. We work to sustain our historic downtown area by helping to create a positive identity: beautifying the area, enhancing access to the lake and waterfront and complementing a thriving business district with places to eat, enjoy, live and shop.
Our goal is to have our residents and visitors see the beauty that we enjoy every day and to ensure that exists years into the future for our community. Welcoming visitors and residents with our summer flowers, the fall colors and the holiday twinkling lights bring that special touch to our Main Street and HWY 35 area.
We are always looking for new people to help us continue our mission. We have a variety of needs to help us accomplish our goals. Some inside, some outside. We are seeking your skills. Consider joining our group of volunteers! Many hands make light work and we encourage you to bring yours to our cause.
WHAT WE DO…
For over 20 years during the summer months, Centering Onalaska volunteers have purchased the Main Street, Great River Landing and Dash Park flower baskets and watered them on the weekends.
Again, for over 20 years, the group has helped service and hang / remove the holiday garlands, wreaths, and snowflakes on Main Street and expanded to HWY 35. In a recent addition, we decorated City Hall with complimenting wreaths and garlands.
